Request an Interpreter
Wednesday, January 20 at 11:30am
Starting January 20, CEO Sallie Hussey and rotating staff members will host a casual, lunch-time, chat session every other month!
Sallie noticed recently that folks had questions about the agency from “Where do we get our money?” to “Why didn’t I know about the name change?” to “How do I get a job here?” and thought inviting people in to talk would be a great idea. So, the first chat-session will be Wednesday, January 20 at 11:30 a.m. Clients, donors, friends, family members, and neighbors are all welcome to help us talk about how we can communicate better with you!
And, at this first gathering, you’ll be able to suggest a better meeting time and future topics for discussion. If you’d like to suggest topics for future chat-sessions, email Sallie at sh@hearingbridges.org. The agency will supply the drinks and dessert but don’t forget to pack a lunch!
Time and Date to be Announced
Why wait to communicate? Babies have a lot to say, even before they can actually speak. With the Baby Signs® Program, infants and toddlers can use simple signs to let you know what they see, what they need, and even how they feel. Research has shown that using the Baby Signs® program decreases frustration and helps babies learn to talk sooner.
In the Baby Signs® Sign, Say & Play™ Classes you and your baby will enjoy 6 weeks of fun-filled play classes with lots of singing, signing, and dancing activities that highlight important developmental skills.
For more information or schedule of classes/workshops, call Joseph Ochoa, Director of Education & Outreach, Independent Certified Instructor. Voice: 615-248-8828. VP 615-290-5148. E-mail: jo@hearingbridges.org.
