Volunteer
Volunteers at Bridges come from all walks of life and contribute their time and talents in a variety of ways. Whether they work with the youth in the After School Program, serve on a committee, or help fundraise to provide client services, volunteers make a large impact at Bridges.
By working with the Deaf and hard of hearing communities, Bridges’s volunteers have the opportunity to work hands-on, improving their American Sign Language. Although not required for Bridges’s volunteer positions, American Sign Language skills are a plus. However, volunteers must be open and willing to learn!
Bridges is always looking for volunteers to help achieve its mission. For more information, please call 615-248-8828 (V/TTY) or 615-290-5147 (VP).

The Youth Program offers programs and services to young people and their families to help address the growing needs of those with hearing loss. Volunteers are needed for Bridges's After School Program. Duties may include assisting with homework help, mentoring, teaching sports, doing projects, and other life skills. Volunteers are also needed to ride in the van to pick up youth from school, or help out at the monthly events and outings. If you are interested in volunteering with the Youth Program, please contact Julie Perdue at jp@hearingbridges.org.
